Professional Certification Programs developed for the Defense Intelligence and Security Enterprise
The Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (USD(I)) has established the goal of professionalizing the defense intelligence and security workforce. One of the primary ways professionalization is facilitated is through certification programs.

There are several USD(I)-conferred and -recognized certification programs currently offered and several more in development. Each program is owned by the Functional Manager for the specified content. Program and contact information for each are provided via links, when available.
The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, in partnership with the National Insider Threat Task Force, created two Professional Counter-Insider Threat Certifications. These certifications were developed with maximum participation from across the Federal Government, resulting in broad applicability across the Counter-Insider Threat workforce.
Certified Counter-Insider Threat Professional (Fundamentals & Analysis)
Several professional certification programs are directly managed by the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Currently, one program is active and several are in development.
Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (IFPC)
The Director, Defense Intelligence Agency is the Functional Manager for multiple defense intelligence tradecrafts, including All Source Analysis, Collection Management, and together with the Joint Staff, Intelligence Planning. The Director, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is the Functional Manager for Geospatial Intelligence.

The Director, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) (formerly Defense Security Service) is the functional manager for the Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) Certification Program, managed by the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE).
